I’m an uncle! The only time I travel out of the country in 2008 and my sister has her first child! I’m so excited! Grayson Luke Jarrett was born today around 5:30p. He weight exactly 6 lbs. Life is amazing and I’m so proud of Tamara and Brian.
Well, we finally finished the floor. It was a slightly trying day, but we made the final push and were able to finish the work. The gratefulness of the people we met was amazing. They had been saving for over 6 years for this project. They described it like Christmas. In fact, they even fed us a traditional Christmas dish. I feel inadequate by just laying a floor, but I truly believe that God has bigger things behind the scenes.
The week is wrapping up and we will take Joe and Chuck to San Juan to fly home tomorrow. I wanted some more out of this trip, but at the same time I don’t want to miss God.
I will finish today again with some memories- Alligator Danish, Papo’s hiccup and weed-eating outfit, Good Morning Vietnam!, Cooky Gi-Joe, two guys on a horse riding bareback, lucky-the three legged dog, Catherine and the ice-skating rink (climate?), witnessing the drug bust yesterday (500 lbs. of crack cocaine), riding up the mountain and getting lost, truly building relationship, missing Shana. The birth of a new life!
