Its been too long.

November 13, 2008

Yes, it has been way too long since I have blogged. Many things have happened, many thoughts have been thought, and I have heard from God much. I promise I will get back into the swing of blogging soon. But I just could not resist showing this video instead. Please watch it till the end.

Please read the blog tomorrow…

I had a great blog for tonight. But it is late. I’m tired. My emotions are mixed on the election, but I will still commit to pray for our new leader. So stay tuned for what may be a great blog tomorrow!

Subjectively Unsubjective

November 3, 2008

How do you view the world? Do you view the world from the perspective of projecting the way you feel or act onto something? Or do you view things in life for what they really are? My other question then is, do we project these views on our relationship with God? I mean God is consistent. He is unchanging. Yet, we are always changing. We get moody or busy or lazy or unhappy and we then dump the thing that we really need. My question is Why? I’m totally in the same boat here, but what if we took a risk. What if we honestly carved out some serious intentional time to build a relationship with Jesus. That’s what it is, a relationship! Sure we don’t want to go to hell and sure we want to live life thew way it was intended to be. But do we honestly want to know the one who chose to give His life for us? It’s the same as if our parents or loved one didn’t spend time with us when we grew up. Or if we constantly ignored our spouse. Or if we just chose to hermit ourselves away from the world and not have any relationship at all. (I don’t want to offend anyone, so please view the statements above as just illustrations).

Some of my other thoughts today were about spiritual awkwardness. Do you ever feel awkward talking about spiritual things? Like maybe apprehension about speaking what is going on in your life spiritually, or what God did at church, etc… Is this a result of us not speaking often enough about spiritual things? Is this a lack of knowledge? Or is it because we feel it’s too personal because we aren’t doing anything about spiritual things?

Maybe these ramblings don’t make sense. Maybe your views or your “relationship” with Jesus is way to personal to even discuss. Maybe this hits home for some of you. Hopefully this wasn’t a needless wasting of words. But for me, these are just raw thoughts. Feel free to comment or discuss.
